Do I have to use a blissfulblog.com subdomain?
Nope! You can use very own, professional domain name with a Blissful Blog. Just follow the instructions within the Tools > Domain Mapping section of your dashboard to easily map your purchased domain name to your new Blissful Blog. However, you are required to register for an account with a subdomain before you can map your own domain.
What are the advantages of becoming a Blissful Blog member?
Membership perks include the instant, automatic setup of the Blissful Blog in a secure hosting environment — so you can begin blogging immediately. In addition, all members have access to over 40 video tutorials, support documentation, template updates and our active wedding community. Basic Members receive access to support tickets, additional upload space and premium plugins. Pro Members additionally receive more upload space and access to additional wedding vendor templates and plugins.
What does a paying subscription include?
The Basic and Pro memberships include ongoing support, maintenance and updates to the Blissful Blog templates. In addition, Basic and Pro Members receive additional upload space for images and media, access to premium plugins and access to additional wedding website templates (Pro Members Only).
Is the blog easy for a beginner?
Yes, the Blissful Blog uses the popular and extremely user friendly content management platform of WordPress. While the platform may already be familiar to many, beginners will also be able to add content to their blog with ease.
Do I own my content and images?
Yes, unlike many blogging communities, you retain full ownership of your content and images with a Blissful Blog. We will not use any of your work without full consent. However, we might promote your site via social media if we love your work.
Do you offer more wedding templates?
Yes, we offer additional premium wedding templates for Blissful Blog Pro Members. You must sign-up for a regular Blissful Blog membership before upgrading. A regular membership can be upgraded to a Pro Member within the Blissful Blog dashboard or on our site here.
Can I hide my site from the public until it’s ready?
Yes, you can place the Blissful Blog in maintenance mode until you are ready to release it to the public.
How many images can I upload?
Regular Blissful Blog Members can upload up to 100 MB of images and files. Pro Members can upload 500 MB.
Am I contracted to keep my blog?
No, there are no contracts to keep your Blissful Blog. You can cancel your membership subscription at any time.
Can I share my content on social media sites?
Yes, the Blissful Blog has an abundance of options for sharing and promoting your content on Facebook and social media sites. We include the option to post content to your Facebook page or wall, a variety of widgets and social media links and buttons that may optionally be displayed within your posts and pages.
Do I need to know any code?
Knowledge of code is not necessary for using a Blissful Blog template. However, a basic understanding of HTML can be helpful if you wish to use the HTML editor.
What if I already have hosting?
We offer a free, unsupported version of the Blissful Blog available for download on our home page. You will need to install the WordPress platform on your server, then install and activate the downloaded template in order to use it.
Are updates included with the Blissful Blog templates?
Yes, as technology improves and the WordPress platform is updated, we will update the Blissful Blog templates with new features and options. We will also release new templates for the platform.
How do I create blog posts and content on my site?
Our system runs on the WordPress platform. New members are provided with login information for their site. Once logged in, you can write blog posts, create pages, add images, video, contact forms and much more within the dashboard.
Can I install my own plugins?
No, we have made a variety of premium plugins available to all members, but you cannot upload any plugin of your choice. This keeps our system secure and avoids any potential plugin conflicts. If you require a specific plugin for your theme, you can contact us with a plugin request.
How do I create a custom avatar for my account?
Custom avatars can be used by registering with Gravatar. You can then associate a custom avatar image with your email address. You can also upload a picture from your computer to serve as your community profile avatar.
Can I get support for the free version of the Blissful Blog?
Yes, we can offer support for the free version of the blog by signing up. Documentation for the free version is available for download to Blissful Blog members.
Can I customize my blog?
Yes, to a certain extent. You will not given access to the stylesheet or template code, but you can change the logo, background color and image, link colors and more within the options. You can modify the code at your own risk with the free version of the Blissful Blog.
Is my blog Search Engine Optimized?
Yes, we have taken extra care in the development of the Blissful Blog ensuring that it is SEO friendly. In addition, we have made a variety of SEO plugins and features available for members.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes, we offer domain mapping for all members. You can mask your Blissful Blog subdomain with any purchased domain.
